Heidsieck Cuvée Florens Louis Champagne
As of his very first cuvée,
Florens-Louis Heidsieck succeeded in giving his Champagne
a distinctive style, thus initiating a long tradition
of outstanding quality. The high standards he set have
remained unchanged up to now thanks to the abilities
and talent of our winemakers. Piper-Heidsieck honours
its founder by naming the Cuvée Réservée
“Florens Louis” after him.
After ageing for long months in our cellars, the Cuvée
Réservée
“Florens Louis”, while maintaining the freshness
and vivacity that are chareacteristic of Piper-Heidsieck’s
style, attains an optimal level of maturity, expressed
through notes of fruit and greater vinosity.
On the Eye
It has a deep grey gold colour with a slightly amber
shade and a nice brightness. The bubbles are settled.
On the Nose
A first impression of forest undergrowth and fern followed
by fruitier and meatier notes of bigarreau cherry and
crystallized citrus fruit.
A finish reminiscent of pastry cream and almond paste
seasoned with mild spice.
On the Palate
On the palate: A tamed vivacity that very quickly goes
towards an impression of smoothness with mild notes
of grapefruit and of juicy and tangy cherry.
Then comes a finish of tender and fresh notes of fruit
paste, almonds and mild spice.
